Our business model
Our business works on a virtual model where independent specialists are brought together to work with specific clients or projects depending on their skills. This ensures our business overheads are kept low which is reflected in the fees to our clients. We only work with professionals who have a minimum of 10 years' experience with contacts which have been built-up over a number of years.

John Hamlin a specialist brand and design consultant has provided the corporate ID for many of Marketingworks' clients. John formally trained as a graphic designer and has worked for a number of years as an designer, art director and writer on some of the UK's leading household names including BT, Seven Seas, Elastoplast and Dettol. He played a key role in the development of the Scottish Widows brand whom he forged a close working relationship with for over a decade.
His growing reputation a highly skilled creative led him into many areas of design and advertising, including food packaging ranges for Jenners, Paterson Arran and Border Biscuits, design driven projects for NHS Health Scotland and advertising campaigns for many of Scotland's leading companies and organisations.
We also have relationships with a number of specialists which include market research, planning and analysis, direct and database marketing, advertising and media buying, internet development and online marketing (including search engine optimisation and cost-per click advertising), event management and PR.
On appointment we will issue a service level agreement so the client knows what to expect and our performance can be measured accordingly. If we are appointed on a project basis, weekly timesheets are issued to the client so there is a transparency on the time spent on the client's work. If we agree a fixed rate then this commitment will be honoured regardless of any additional time we spent on the project.
