Len Lothian U-Store is a family-owned company that's been in the business of storage for over 40 years. They offer accessible storage for business and home that's simple, quick and safe and have large storage sites in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Marketing requirement
U-Store has developed a distinctive and successful advertising campaign through one of Scotland's leading advertising agencies. They wished to build on the achievements of this campaign by exploring other support media to encourage greater response and enquiries from customers. This involved working in partnership with the client and the existing agency.
Marketing solution
A back to basics approach involved preparing a marketing plan and commissioning research to establish customer profile, satisfaction and reasons why they required storage. Analysis of existing data on commercial customers identified the types of businesses who required storage and a target list of similar businesses was prepared for future prospects.
In addition to existing advertising we recommended outdoor posters in close proximity to the storage facilities to highlight their locations. Direct marketing campaigns to support the advertising and encourage response included direct mailing lists from the Edinburgh and Glasgow Solicitors Property Centres, member-get-member schemes with an incentive, door drops and press inserts. Internet activity included search engine optimisation and cost-per-click advertising.
